For generations, the De la Vega family carefully protected a rare tequila recipe crafted using old-world distillation methods passed down through handwritten journals, family teachings, and sacred patience.
The tequila was never mass distributed.
Instead, it was quietly shared during:

- private celebrations
- political gatherings
- milestone ceremonies
- exclusive family occasions
Locals eventually began calling the tequila: “El Tesoro Dorado” “The Golden Treasure”
because bottles were spoken about more often than they were ever seen.
Years later, Doña Isabela Reposado de la Vega inherited the final agave journals from her grandfather — a legendary jimador and distiller who believed tequila should be:
- smooth enough to sip slowly
- rich enough to remember
- crafted with patience instead of speed
Known for preserving generations of handcrafted tequila methods, Doña Isabela became a respected figure among private circles throughout Jalisco for her commitment to patience, refinement, and uncompromising quality. While luxury distributors pressured her to commercialize the tequila for years, she refused to mass produce what her family considered sacred craftsmanship. Only after years of pressure from luxury distributors and private investors did she agree to share Tesoro Dorado™ with the world — under one principle: “We do not chase the world. The world discovers us.”
